On Saturday (January 29), Marca newspaper announced that Chelsea are considering to recruit Ousmane Dembele, who has only six months left on his contract with Barca. So far, Dembele’s wish is to leave the Nou Camp as soon as possible. He has refused to renew with the club and wants to find a new destination before the transfer window closes on Monday.
Sport’s edition today explains that the France international is “thinking about leaving the Catalan club in January and his agent is working to find a solution”.
It is revealed that there are 3 teams currently interested in Dembele, including Champions League champions Chelsea. The report adds that Chelsea are ready to sign the player in the next 48 hours, without specifying whether they are considering a loan deal or a purchase of Dembele.
Dembele played under Thomas Tuchel, when the two were at Dortmund. In an interview not long ago, Tuchel also highly appreciated the ability of the player born in 1997.
In addition to the west London club, Sport say Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the Frenchman this month. Meanwhile, AS newspaper on Sunday reported that neither Chelsea nor PSG have made an official offer to bring Dembélé away from Barcelona in the near future.
