Thousands of Kaizer Chiefs fans flooded the Daniel Craven Stadium in glee after Itumeleng Khune saved the penalty double that secured their MTN8 quarter-final win over Stellenbosch on Sunday.

Goals from Sihle Nduli and Ashley du Preez ensured the game ended 1-1 in regular time, and neither side could find an own goal in extra time to send the game into a penalty shootout. in front of hostile mobs.

The sold-out match was postponed for 30 minutes due to traffic congestion and fans without tickets were forced to enter the stadium, including the demolition of barriers to enter the stadium’s main stand.
