Luis Diaz’s first day at Liverpool
Andreas Schjelderup is considered by experts as one of the promising young talents of Norwegian football. The 17-year-old midfielder was voted by Goal in the list of the 50 best morning stars in 2022.
Going back in time, Andreas had a trial period at Juventus and Bayern Munich before joining Danish club FC Nordsjaelland. Since then, Andreas has made great progress.
Andreas has a total of 36 boots on the pitch for the first team FC Nordsjaelland, a respectable number for a 17-year-old player. Mai Sao was born in 2004 with a playing style similar to Jack Grealish.
“ It was really difficult when I turned down Liverpool. Childhood grew up with years of watching them, idolizing famous players. One day, they say they want you to join. My head started spinning, ” Andres shared.
“ My father and agent supported me to make the best decision. At the club, everyone was surprised at how quickly I progressed. I have a plan to make it happen and the plan is complete,” the Norwegian midfielder confided.
Andreas plays best as an attacking midfielder with his ability to dribble and pass the ball. “Jack Grealish is of course a great player. I noticed some similarities in the play between me and him.”
“ I understand why people compare me to Grealish. I want to improve my ability to score goals and create assists and contribute to the home team, ” shared Andreas.
Andreas goes down in history as Nordsjaelland’s youngest goalscorer. In the 2021/2022 season, the 17-year-old midfielder contributed 3 goals.
With great development potential, Andreas is expected, along with Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard, to become the mainstay of the Norwegian national team, helping the country’s football advance in the big arenas.
“ My first ambition is to attend the U19 or U21 European Championship. Hopefully one day I can play in the national team. Norway hasn’t been in a tournament for a long time, ” said Andreas.
“We have good players like Haaland or Odegaard. My former teammate Jens Petter Hauge is another example. The future of Norwegian football is bright. We hope to make that happen,” the 17-year-old tomorrow star confirmed.
Andreas’ future is bright and vast if he maintains, constantly improves himself. The scenario of a young Norwegian star wearing a Liverpool shirt is entirely possible.
