The fixtures for the 2022/23 Premier League have been announced and Arsenal will host Crystal Palace in the London derby on Friday 5 August.
Match 1 will end on Sunday 7 August when David Moyes’ West Ham host champions Manchester City to the London Stadium.
Another notable fixture on the opening weekend is the tense match between Everton and Chelsea.
Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth, who have recently been promoted to the league, will have their jobs cut from the start. Fulham host Liverpool, Nottingham Forest host Newcastle United and Bournemouth host Aston Villa.
The first Manchester derby is scheduled for October 1.
As the World Cup takes place later this year, the tournament will play its final round on the weekends of November 12 and 13, before continuing on December 26.
Boxing Day matches will be played on December 26 and 27, with the following match taking place from December 29-31. The New Year’s end game will take place January 2-5.
This year’s Gifts Day fixture list will feature three London derbies as well as a south coast encounter between Southampton and Brighton.
The tournament is scheduled to end on May 28, 2023.
