Premier Soccer League president Irvin Khoza has announced that the Carling Black Label Cup has now been expanded to include four teams, with the Cup set to be contested on November 12.
The tournament, which Khoza says will be a time-only event, will take the form of the old Iwisa Charity and the Telkom Charity, where fans vote for teams to enter the tournament. .
That particular tournament is a pre-season tournament, but this one will take place immediately after the teams have completed the first leg of the tournament.
Khoza said fans will vote in four teams and those who don’t make the top four will receive R100 000, with teams that make it to the tournament will receive Rs 200 000.
The winners of the tournament will receive R2 million.
The Telkom Charity Spectacular, a very popular tournament, ran from 1986 to 2010, from which it gave way to the Carling Black Label Cup contested by the Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
